School of Music Visiting Artist
Natalie Robehmed is a Los Angeles-based producer and DJ, making music as Ghorba. She throws a party series, FM+, for womxn and nonbinary people, and helps run a workshop program, FeM Synth Lab, that fosters music production among femmes. Her debut album, Zero Threat to the Rave, was released on Jacktone Records in November; it was included in Fact Mag's best house and techno of 2018. She has also released as half of ecstatic rave duo DIVORCE (Fatt Grabbers, Sweat Equity). She records all of her tracks using hardware in single takes with no editing and applies the same freewheeling style to her live and DJ sets. She holds a degree in music and English literature from Columbia University; during the day, she works as a journalist.
