School of Music Visiting Artists

Created in Berlin, Bitwig Studio is a crossplatform DAW (Linux too) that allows anyone to design sounds, build instruments, and make music. On Monday, March 1, we come to your online house. Hello.

In this session, we will show Bitwig's essence as a sound laboratory and modern production tool. We will try out unique workflows for composition and how our Sampler can mine your audio for new sonic ideas. We'll see how Bitwig's three dozen modulators can change any device into something new. And we will fire up The Grid, our modular sound-design environment, to build an idea and break a few rules.

Mea Liedl worked for music labels and in A&R, and has now been head of strategic partnerships and artist relations at Bitwig for almost a decade. She enjoys co-producing good festivals and concerts, and sometimes (don't tell!) making music.

Dave Linnenbank is a musician, technologist, and teacher. Over the past 20 years, he has crafted musical tools for pop and jazz artists, Broadway musicals, and desktop electronic musicians everywhere. Linnenbank is part of Team Bitwig in Berlin, regularly making YouTube tutorials and more.
