Organized and hosted by students in the Arts and Activism Class - School of Theater
This virtual forum aims to create a space for learning and dialogue about the recently released LA Anti-Racist Theater Standards (https://latheatrestandards.com). The document was created by a collective of Los Angeles theatre makers and artists who are dedicated to developing and implementing long standing systemic change within the theatre community. Building off of the work of We See You White American Theatre, and answering a call to action that was blaring in the summer of 2020, the Standards offer a roadmap towards a more inclusive and equitable theater field. The Standards also offer a mechanism for accountability. Join us for this timely conversation with six LA-based theater change makers who will inspire us to see opportunities for effective action.
