Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 5 pm in the Bijou as we welcome artist Thais Francis for a film screening and conversation.

When you are vulnerable, there is nothing to hide behind, and when you have the courage to be seen, power is taken back. This is the strength that comes from authenticity. The two films that will be screened, Late Expectations and Belonging, explore identity, sexuality, and radical self acceptance, as the filmmaker Thais Francis reconciles with her place in the world. After the screening, Thais will discuss her art, process and the importance of authenticity for creativity and success followed by an audience Q+A.

This event is hosted by The Black Arts Collective at CalArts with sponsorship from The Patty Disney Center for Life and Work at CalArts.
