This document and corresponding timeline are part of the Institute’s overall blueprint for advancing its guiding values into an institutional transformation that endows experimental art-makers with a global worldview.
The plan endeavors to provide a framework with corresponding strategies for the IDEA office to enact across the Institute. All strategies are guided by input from the Institute’s senior leadership and shared-governance bodies, especially the IDEA Committee, as well as individual schools and program leaders.
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness will create a program to collect data in order for us to assess our ongoing progress. While the needs analysis and implementation will be distributed across the Institute, the IDEA Office will be responsible for central support and coordination. Bringing meaningful progress in IDEA work to fruition will take the combined efforts of individual community members—this isn’t something that can happen without each of us. Part of the IDEA Office’s role will be to help each member of the community understand how they can contribute.
