Off-Campus Housing Directory Database
The Off-Campus Housing Office, located in Chouinard Hall Room 113, maintains an on-line,

Our website directory database assists in your search for off-campus housing:
- "Housing Offers" webpage consist of local units available for rent.
- "Housing Seekers" webpage is a way for students to get into contact with
other students for roommate possibilities. As there are a large number of
students in need of off-campus housing, it may benefit your search by creating
your own post under "Housing Seekers". It is a great way to ensure you are
living with other CalArts students and the rental cost will become more
affordable as more students share the unit.

Here you will find information about the local neighborhoods and apartment complexes, tips for finding an
apartment and/or roommates, and a list of temporary housing options.
In addition to referrals, the Housing Office can assist by providing area maps, hotel and motel
listings and resource handbooks dealing with tenant-landlord laws.
Students wishing to live off-campus are urged to begin the housing search no later than August for the Fall
semester. Keep in mind rent usually starts on the 1st or the 15th of each month.
