Getting started 

We suggest that you start your search by the beginning of August and no later than August 15th. Keep in mind rent usually starts on the 1st or the 15th of each month.

Our web site offers all the sources available to you in your search for Off Campus Housing and gives you the opportunity to get started before arriving in town. Our listings posted on our website (Offering Housing & Seeking Housing/Roommates) are also updated regularly. If you're seeking a roommate it's a good idea to post a notice here yourself ASAP - as a housing search often goes quicker if you can do it as a team. There are also links, to CalArts Guide to Off-Campus Life, (CalArtsoffcampuslife2009.pdf ) and to the local newspaper The Signal & the Los Angeles Times' Classifieds, as well as a commercial nation-wide apartment search service called Rent.net that may provide you with additional leads (these all change daily).

If you are planning a visit to the campus during the summer, we are open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 A.M. to noon and 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. During the academic year we are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. We are located in room A-207, Student Affairs.
