Cal Grants are for students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
If you're a graduating California high school senior or recent graduate, meet academic, financial and eligibility requirements and submit two forms by the Cal Grant deadline, you may qualify to receive a Cal Grant [2].
Each year the Commission publishes income and asset ceilings for the Cal Grant Program. These ceilings are subject to change until the annual state budget is passed.

Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
by March 2 and submit a verified Cal Grant GPA to the California Student Aid Commission by the March 2 deadline. If you meet the
income, eligibility, and GPA requirements, you may qualify for a Cal Grant.
Check with your high school. Most California High Schools will submit a verified Cal Grant GPA for you. If not, you can go online and download a GPA Verification form, fill out the student section and take it to your school. It must be submitted to CSAC by March 2, 2012.
