If you are a continuing student, please be aware that financial aid is not automatically renewed. You must reapply for financial aid each year. Renewal of Institute grant and scholarship funds is always based upon satisfactory academic progress, faculty recommendation, need, and the availability of funds. Federal funding is renewed based upon satisfactory academic progress, need, and the availability of funds.
DON'T FORGET! Financial aid is awarded beginning the first week of April. Your financial aid Offer letter will be available online through Student Academic Services [1]. You must "accept" (or decline) each financial aid award, read and sign the Offer letter and submit it to the Cal Arts Financial Aid Office before we can process your financial aid.
To apply for financial aid, please complete the two steps below:
Some high schools electronically submit Cal Grant GPA verification forms on behalf of their students. Check with your high school for more information.
The FAFSA enables families to retrieve tax data from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to make completing the FAFSA easier and more accurate. We encourage families to file their Federal Tax Returns early (that is, before completing the FAFSA) in order to take advantage of this process.
Additional Documentation
In some cases, we may ask you to submit additional and documentation t the Financial Aid Office. If so, please submit the information to the Cal Arts Financial Aid Office as soon as possible so that we can complete your financial aid file and award your financial aid.
