Paul Brach, founding dean of School of Art, died at age 83

Artist Paul Brach was the founding dean of the CalArts School of Art. During his time at CalArts (1969-1975), Brach was instrumental in hiring faculty including John Baldessari, Allan Kaprow, Nam June Paik and Miriam Schapiro to shape the innovative program.
