Donald Holder, Head of Lighting Design in the School of Theater and alumnus Kevin Adams are now two-time Tony Award® winners.
Donald Holder won a 2008 Tony Award® in the category of Best Lighting Design in a Musical for his exceptional work on South Pacific. In1998, he received the award for Best Lighting Design for The Lion King [1].
This year, Donald was also nominated for a Tony® for Best Lighting Design of a Play for Les Liaisons Dangereuses [2]. Previously, he received Best Lighting Design nominations for A Streetcar Named Desire [3] and Gem of the Ocean in 2005, Movin' Out [4] in 2003 and Juan Darien in 1997.
Kevin Adams (MFA, Environmental Design, 1986) won a 2008 Tony Award® for Best Lighting Design of a Play for The 39 Steps [5]. In 2007, was awarded a Tony® for Best Lighting Design of a Musical for Spring Awakening [6].
