Bijou Theater

Use

Managed by the Library, the Bijou Theater seats 120.
The Bijou may be scheduled for classes requiring multi-media projection; visiting artist / filmmaker screenings and presentations; for groups largeer than 50; and for student, faculty, staff or alumni screenings.

Schedule priority is given to the School of Film/Video, as the Bijou is their primary film and multi-media projection classroom.

All materials projected in the Bijou are shown at the owners' discretion.  Damage to any of the materials, however unlikely, cannot be compensated.

Scheduling

Contact the Film Services Manager to schedule, confirm reservations, and to cancel all Bijou reservations.

Semester Classes
Schedule in July for Fall Semester; and in December for Spring Semester.

One Class, Presentation or Screening
Faculty, staff, students or alumni may schedule the Bijou for use. 

Contact Film Services Manager, and submit a Bijou Theater Reservation form at least 2 weeks in advance.

Reservation confirmation depends on Bijou availability, projectionist availability, approval, and payment.

Non-class users are approved case by case, may require a completed Event Checklist form, and advance payment.

Individuals who schedule screenings that are not in-class face to face teaching take full responsibility for acquiring the appropriate permissions from the copyright holder.  Admission fees or donations cannot be charged.  

Use Fees

Use fees help support projectionists' pay, supplies, equipment, facilities maintenance and upgrades.

Schools and departments are recharged at the semester end for the total hours, or number of scheduled class
days with the exception of Institution closure. 

Notify Film Services Manager one week in advance, if a class / event is canceled, or scheduled use will be billed.

Fees may not be charged to departments if projection equipment, a projectionist or supervision are not needed. 

All non-class uses scheduled by students and alumni must be paid in advance.

After Hours Use Fee          $25.00 per hour
After scheduled class hours & weekends
