Interlibrary Loan
If there is a book or periodical article that you need and that we do not own, then we can usually get it for you from another library. To request a book, score, periodical article or sound recording on Interlibrary Loan, search the FirstSearch databases to find the your item, select the item, and then select the ILL option. If you need assistance on completing the request, please see a librarian.
You will be notified when the item arrives at the CalArts Library. Please note that we may not be able to fill your request due to availability and restrictions at our borrowing library sources. If we cannot accomodate your ILL request, please see a librarian.
All patrons are limited to five Interlibrary Loan requests per week.
Interlibrary loan services are provided free of charge in almost all instances.
The Santa Clarita Inter-Library Network (SCILNET) also offers direct interlibrary loans among the public and school libraries in our valley. If you need something that is at a local library ask for a "SCILNET" card from the Circulation Supervisor at the Circulation and Information Desk.
