Unsubsidized Stafford Loans

The unsubsidized Stafford Loan is available to undergraduate and graduate students.  Eligible amounts vary, please refer to the link shown below.

These loans are funded by lending institutions and can be used to assist you in meeting your educational costs.  You can borrow both your established “unmet” need as well as your calculated self-help figure.  Unlike the Subsidized Stafford Student Loan, interest does accrue and is added to the principal of the loan.  Interest only payments can be made while you are enrolled in school.

Loan Counseling

 

Students who borrow under the Federal Family Education Loan Program are required to complete entrance counseling before receiving loan proceeds from their first loan and exit counseling shortly before graduating or otherwise leaving school.
