Six Chung Ang actors will present their 75-minute contemporary adaptation of Lear on January 22 (4pm dress rehearsal - by invitation only, 8pm show). In addition to the 6 actors, there will be 3 faculty and 6 members of the production team as well: director, playwright, stage manager, scenic designer, lighting designer and sound operator/asst director.
As a part of the 2nd week of Interim, CalArts students will have a chance to engage with the Chung Ang students in a theatrical experiment. This Los Angeles aspect of the work is tentatively titled Lear/Layer and will involve students from the Schools of Theater, Film/Video (Animation Program), Dance and Music.
From January 24-28, students from both universities will generate material together towards a performance and design experiment, with a presentation on Friday, January 28 at 8pm. All presentations and generation will happen in E-407.
