Guest students will need to email the Director of Summer Session at summer@calarts.edu to establish access to the system. • Payment Options: Tuition must be received by the CalArts Office of Accounting by 4 pm on May 15 and may be paid by check or credit card. Payment can be made online during registration and class sign-up; payment may also be made subsequently by mail, phone, or by visiting the CalArts Office of Accounting during regular business hours. For more information regarding payment procedures, visit the Accounting Office’s “Methods of Payment” page.
  • Refund Policy: Students will be given a 100% tuition refund if they withdraw from classes before the first day of class. Once classes have started students may withdraw with a 50% refund during the first week. After the first week no refunds will be issued.
  • Housing and Transportation: Students not living in the area may contact the Director of Summer Session, Hilary Darling, to see if on-campus housing is available. Group rates for housing at some local hotels are available—as well as transportation to and from CalArts—by mentioning your affiliation with the Institute. Another option will be accessing private rentals and sublets online through the Office of Student Affairs page. Many students take advantage of this option with relative ease and convenience.
